1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Plori ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Plori is operated by Eodin ("we," "us," or "our").

2. Description of Service

Plori is a GPS-based automatic docent app that provides AI-generated audio guides about places near your location. The App:

  • Detects your location and identifies nearby points of interest
  • Generates audio stories using AI (Claude + Wikipedia + TTS)
  • Automatically plays audio guides when you approach a place
  • Supports 16 languages: English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Hindi, Portuguese, Polish, Italian, Russian, Turkish, Indonesian, and Dutch

3. Account Registration

  • You must sign in using Google or Apple to use the App.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
  • One person may not maintain more than one account.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks
  • Use automated systems to access the App in a manner that exceeds reasonable use
  • Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App's content

5. Content

5.1 AI-Generated Content

The audio guides and scripts in Plori are generated by artificial intelligence using publicly available information from Wikipedia. While we strive for accuracy:

  • AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies or errors
  • Content is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content
  • Content should not be relied upon for safety, navigation, or critical decision-making

5.2 User Data

You retain ownership of your personal data. By using the App, you grant us a license to process your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

5.3 User-Generated Content

You may upload photos and other content ("User Content") to the App. By uploading User Content, you:

(a) Grant Eodin a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and modify your User Content in connection with operating and improving the App;

(b) Represent and warrant that:

  • You own the User Content or have the necessary rights to grant this license;
  • Your User Content does not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights of any third party;
  • Your User Content does not contain illegal, harmful, or objectionable material;

(c) Acknowledge that:

  • Other users of the App may view your User Content;
  • We may remove or disable access to any User Content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate, at our sole discretion;
  • You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the license granted above;

(d) Agree not to upload content that:

  • You do not have the right to share;
  • Contains personal information of others without their consent;
  • Is sexually explicit, violent, discriminatory, or otherwise offensive;
  • Infringes any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 App Ownership

The App, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Eodin.

6.2 AI-Generated Content

AI-generated audio guides are provided for personal, non-commercial use only. Content is generated using publicly available information from Wikipedia and is provided under the terms of Section 5.1.

6.3 Third-Party Content

  • Wikipedia text content is used under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 License (CC BY-SA 3.0). Original source articles are available at wikipedia.org.
  • Wikimedia Commons images are displayed under their individual licenses (typically CC BY, CC BY-SA, or Public Domain). Attribution for each image is displayed within the App where available.
  • Map data is provided by Mapbox and OpenStreetMap contributors.

6.4 User Content

User-uploaded content is governed by Section 5.3. Eodin does not claim ownership of User Content but exercises the license granted under Section 5.3.

7. Location Services

  • The App requires access to your device's location to function.
  • Location data is used to identify nearby places and trigger audio playback.
  • Background location access is required for the passive discovery feature.
  • You can disable location access at any time through your device settings, but the App's core functionality will be limited.

8. Subscription and Payments

8.1 Free Plan

The free plan provides limited access to the App's features.

8.2 Premium Plan

  • Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage and cancel your subscription through your device's app store settings.
  • Refunds are handled according to the policies of Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • The content will be accurate or reliable
  • Any errors will be corrected

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EODIN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

11. Termination

  • We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms.
  • You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles.
